A Head Above the Rest - 11 Glamorous Headboards

Posted by Mark Godsell-Fletcher on

Historically drapes were used to surround the bed to prevent drafts and cold.  The luxurious fabrics used created a sense of wealth and luxury.  Today we use headboards to create a focal point in our bedrooms.  Headboards are an integral part of bedroom design, from a modern take on the historical drapes to the current trend for large and over-sized. Is your bed a 'head above the rest'? 1. Painted Proving that a glamorous headboard is not all about the cost.  This simple design creates the sense of having a headboard without one actually being there. Mirror Mirrors are often used in interior design to create a sense of space.  You can use a mirror as a headboard within my styles, it even looks great in rustic. Art Headboards don't have to confirm to tradition.  This non-conformist design uses a work of art as a headboard. Bespoke If a headboard doesn't have to confirm to traditional designs, then why not create a bespoke piece.  I don't know about you but this headboard reminds me of The Game of Thrones.
